High school student and shut-in, Natsuki Subaru is suddenly summoned to another world on his way home from the convenience store. Totally lacking any sort of useful knowledge or technical skills, he also is completely incompetent in battle and in communicating with other people. He’s just another worthless, average Joe — but with this one ability he was given upon being thrown into this other world, he’s managed to make it out alive despite the dangers each new day brings. This one, sole blessing he has been given is a painful “Return by Death”–if he dies, the world will rewind to a point in time from which he can start anew. In this strange new world where he has no one and nothing to rely upon, just how many times will he die, and what, exactly, will he manage to gain in the end?
